Keep Britain Tidy is a well-known British charity that encourages people to pick up after themselves. But smokers still have a habit of littering the streets with their cigarette butts, which take up to 14 years to decay. To help them out, the organization created small portable ashtrays, odourless and recyclable. To promote the innovation, the agency VCCP turned to the main victims of pollution: animals. A digital poster with a smoke detector is activated when a smoker is nearby. They’re then addressed by a duck, who proposes the pocket-sized solution. Gives a new meaning to the word “billboard”.
