Former BBH & BBDO NY Exec Will Help Lead Creative for PNC Bank
Creative agency Arnold Worldwide announced today the appointment of Molly Adler as SVP, Group Creative Director, effective immediately.
Adler will be tasked with bringing fresh and groundbreaking conceptual thinking to the PNC Bank account as well as providing creative leadership at the agency. Based in New York City, Adler will report to James Bray, Executive Creative Director.
“Molly is just the type of creative leader we want at Arnold,” said Arnold CCO, Sean McBride. “She’s made great work wherever she’s been. She’s a leader and a mentor, but with a love of craft that drives her to keep making. Most importantly, she’s our type of person: low ego, generous with ideas, and fun as hell to be around. We couldn’t be happier to have her on board.”
Adler has over two decades of experience working with iconic brands such as Google, Apple, Mars, FedEx, The New York Times, and AT&T at companies like Google Creative Lab, BBDO NY, BBH NY, Fallon London, Fallon NY, and Bozell. Most recently she spent six years as a freelance creative director, art director, and UX designer. Before that Adler was senior creative director/art director at BBDO NY, where she ran the Lowe’s Home Improvement account for four years. During that time the retailer became one of BBDO NY’s most awarded accounts.
“Arnold has such a stellar creative reputation and I’m so excited to be joining the team,” said Adler. Most importantly, there’s an authentic feeling of trust and collaboration at Arnold. I’ve been lucky to work at incredible agencies, and they all shared this spirit of trust and collaboration. Every success I’ve had in the past has stemmed from a feeling of real connection to my team.”
An art director by trade, Molly has been named to Adweek's Top 10 Creatives You Don’t Know and Business Insider’s 30 Most Creative Women in Advertising. Her work has been recognized by Cannes, D&AD, One Show, The Art Director’s Club, AICP, and many others.
Adler continued: “When the team showed me the recent PNC Bank work, ‘Brilliantly Boring,’ I got excited for so many reasons. The creative idea is so simple. The casting (Chris Diamantopoulos, who plays billionaire-jerk Russ Hanneman on HBO’s Silicon Valley) is edgy. The design and typography is slick and Instagram-ready. The concept ‘Banking Should Be Boring’ is such an unexpected yet true benefit of a bank. I can’t wait to dive in and build on this fun and smart creative platform.”
