BEHIND THE SCENES | COFFEE WITH | Just before lunch we met up with these two sparkling senior creatives Anne-Maro Huberts and Paul Van Uden to grab a cup and have a chat. And a big laugh. As always. #coffeewith #baristatalk
WITH WHAT KIND OF COFFEE DO YOU START THE DAY?
A-M: Americano or cappuccino with a drop of honey. Yes. Honey. You should try it, you’ll love it. Other than that I’m not a coffee snob. Except for Senseo. I will not drink that . I mean, the idea the cream layer is made of pork fat...
Paul: A cup of tea!
WHICH OF YOU GUYS MAKES THE BEST COFFEE?
A-M: Me. Paul doesn’t drink coffee.
WHAT DID YOU WANT TO BECOME WHEN YOU WERE LITTLE?
A-M: Surgeon. Heart surgeon to be more precise. when I was a kid I switched from the kid friendly TV show Telekids to bloody ER tv-programs. The human body fascinated me. In high school I found out I was more Alpha orientated and you know, blood was gross all of a sudden. So, switching to ‘something that had to do with language’ was a very sane and wholesome decision.
Paul: Prince Carnaval. But in the end I became a joker.
WHAT’S GREAT ABOUT ANNE-MARO/ PAUL?
A-M: That his energy peaks when mine is low, and vice versa. Also that he is from Brabant and uses it in his advantage in a very fun way.
Paul: Anne-Maro is always genuinely interested in people. I also really like A-M’s boyfriend. We have the same sense of humour.
WHAT KIND OF BEHAVIOUR OF EACH OTHER IS A BIT ANNOYING?
A-M: Dumpert.nl and next thing not at all listening to what I have to say. And when the internet movie is really funny, he laughs like a hyena. This is also sort of amusing, especially when the video is in fact hilarious, we laugh hyena style together.
Paul: When A-M always wants my attention when I watch dumpert.nl for 10 minutes.
WHAT ARE YOU CURIOUS ABOUT BUT NEVER ASK EACH OTHER?
A-M: Well, we spend more than 8 hours together in one office. So I think we know too much of each other. I only wonder what is wrong with eating bananas.
Paul: We both have our hearts on our sleeves, so I agree with Anne-Maro. Oh and bananas are just gross. Like peanutbutter. Yukh.
