Sinopsis Polestar is spearheading a movement with a global ambition, by rethinking every detail in the production of their vehicles. The experience literally takes the user on an interactive journey that starts on a global level and moves down to the tiniest details in the car itself, in 5 Interactive and immersive chapters. This way we visualise the design impact of the Polestar brand both on a micro and macro level.
Filosofía The design of the experience is fully in service of the content, just like the Polestar brand itself. We translated the brand’s minimalistic design philosophy into the UX/UI of the experience. Five video chapters with amazing aesthetics are seamlessly fused together by the webGL zoom animations in which we move through the chapters. The experience focuses on providing an overall consistency in presentation, look, feel and interaction. The sound design is custom made for the entire experience and micro-animations enrich every detail.
Problema From research we know that people who are in the market for a Polestar are heavily invested in creating a better world for themselves and their children. They are not looking to buy a car from a 6 second Insta ad, but instead really want to understand and feel part of the story and vision of the brand. So we did just that. The core of the platform is to tell the Polestar story and vision in the most transparent, complete, and honest way possible. And we took the time to do it right.
Resultado The content that was created for the platform was also used as part of an online campaign, generating over 5 million views. As for the platform itself, people liked the story we had to tell. They spent about 1.5 minutes on the site, interacting with our brand. With a VCR (Video Completion Rate) of over 25% people watched our videos almost twice as long as normal. And with a CRT (Click Through Rate) of 0.38% people clicked through to our online store almost 3 times as much as normal.
