| Brief | Amid rising hate speech and growing intolerance in Europe, Germany was to host the UEFA EURO 2024. As the leading football beer brand in Germany and official sponsor of the event, Bitburger aimed to increase Brand Awareness among the target group but moreover to promote openness and human connection. Rooted in its core belief that a 'Bitte,' which means 'please' in German, can make anything possible, Bitburger claimed that a simple 'Bitte' could even foster weeks of joy in times of hate. The brand placed their 'Bitte' at the heart of every communication piece in their EURO campaign to shift the conversation. By saying 'Bitte' everywhere, Bitburger helped to change the tone in Germany and Europe and contributed to making this the most respectful and peaceful EURO ever. |
