Sinopsis | This clip first appears to be a typical back-to-school ad, but quickly turns dark when students have to use everyday items to protect themselves during a school shooting. A sock becomes a tourniquet. A pencil becomes a weapon. A girl uses her new phone to text her mom a last message. Sandy Hook Promise reminds viewers that 113 people were killed or injured in school shootings in the US in 2018. The commercial ends by saying that the only real back-to-school essential is learning the signs of a shooter, and stopping shootings before they happen. |
