BGSTR Motion Design, an award-winning creative studio, announces the internal promotion of two executives and a round of new hires as the studio enters 2023— Carson Hood, Executive Producer, to Executive Vice President and Virgil Conklin, Head of Production, to Vice President. They join Josh Norton, BGSTR Founder and Executive Creative Director, in the leadership suite.
“Carson and Virgil have been vital to the expansion and success of BigStar, and as our work and projects level up in complexity and craft, their leadership is more important than ever,” Josh Norton, BGSTR founder and executive creative director, said.
In addition to the changes in leadership, several tenured employees were promoted into new roles and a handful of new artists and producers have joined the BGSTR team. These promotions include the elevation of both Ross Henderson and Mark Thompson into the role of Creative Director, a move in-line with their seniority within the company.
The updates to the BGSTR team capped off what was a banner year for the motion design studio— from multiple award wins and nominations to anchoring some of the year’s most prestigious campaigns— and this expansion in talent will be pivotal to future growth.
