Brief | Sometimes the best ideas are the most simple. Take this one. No, really, take it! Basic-Fit turned its "Get fit for summer" campaign into a workout. Movable billboards equipped with handles were placed in six of the busiest city centres in Belgium and the Netherlands. Everyone was invited to grab a handle and work their way out to the nearest Basic-Fit gym, where they could claim a free membership. The first journeys were recorded for an online video announcing where the billboards would pop up next. |

In this campaign, made by XXS Amsterdam, the gym lets millennials work-out together to get fit for summer Basic-Fit Benelux launches their Get fit for summer campaign with an outdoor activation that gets friend groups to work-out together. The squad who carries the billboard to the nearest Basic-Fit gym the first, gets a free 1 year membership. These special Get fit for summer billboards are equipped with sport handles and give the billboard its extra work-out feature. The billboards are spread throughout The Netherlands and Belgium in the following weeks. The campaign is a follow-up of the previously aired #squadgoals campaign. The campaign followed a group of friends who motivate each other to hit the gym through a Whatsapp conversation. (https://vimeo.com/254869117) With this outdoor activation the target is activated to hit the gym in real life. The moment they see the billboard, their work-out begins. The promo film shows how four people carry the billboard to a nearest Basic-Fit gym. The carrying itself is the exercise. They walk with the campaign message over busy terraces, city centres and even cross bridges with the billboard. The billboards are placed across the Netherlands and Belgium. Basic-Fit calls out to watch their social channels for the reveal of the next billboard locations. For those who can’t make it to one of the billboards, there is an online Get fit for summer game. Online players have to carry the billboard as far as possible for a chance to win the 1 year membership at getfitforsummer.eu. |
