Asked to blow out the candles on his birthday cake, a grandfather astonishes his family by picking up a snow blower, with predictably messy results. So why did he buy it? Why not: if it costs next to nothing and shipping is free?

Sinopsis OLX is the main Ukrainian marketplace. It helps people sell and buy goods online. And it is especially helpful when you need to buy things that are not available in your city or town. That’s why almost 60% of deals on OLX take place between people who live in different parts of the country. Therefore OLX introduced a new service – absolutely free shipping. The whole year company was paying for people’s deliveries to encourage users to buy and sell more with OLX. Our task was to advertise free shipping service.The insight is simple. If something is like new, the price is good and moreover the shipping is absolutely free, you can’t stand from buying. Even if you don’t really need it.We made our commercials look like Ukrainian sitcoms. We showed ordinary people in an authentic environment and paid special attention to dialogues to sound naturally. As a result we came up with a truly folksy campaign and delivered the message: «why not buy something if the shipping is free on OLX».
