Agency Assessments International (AAI) was started by David Wethey in 1988. We worked then, as we work now, for client companies only - to provide completely objective advice. We have no commercial relationship with agencies. AAI was set up originally to help clients select advertising agencies in the UK and Ireland. In the intervening 23 years our business has expanded dramatically in both size and scope. Our remit now covers the full spectrum of marketing communication agencies including advertising, direct marketing / integrated, promotions, digital, PR, media, design, and brand consultancy. Our services cover all aspects of the agency client relationship and we are recognized experts in this field contributing frequently to conferences, seminars and workshops. We have undertaken numerous European and global assignments, and over the last 10 years over 50% of our revenue was derived from international projects.
AAI is headquartered in London, with partners, associates and affiliates in US, Brazil, Australia, Hong Kong, South Africa, the Gulf, Ireland, and Russia.
David has worked extensively with the Incorporated Society of British Advertisers (ISBA) and the Marketing Society in London, and with several national WFA (World Federation of Advertisers) members. He was awarded an Honorary Fellowship by the IPA for services to the Client/Agency Relationship. He was editor and author of the current UK Guide to Agency Remuneration, and co-wrote the EACA/WFA Guide to Pitching and the Agency Relationship.
David Wethey is also an author and writer. He has two blogsites www.makingbetterdecisionsbetter.com and www.motemeetings.com . He writes articles and blog posts on decision making, current affairs and advertising for a variety of publications and sites – including a monthly blog for the Marketing Society. Following DECIDE (published Feb 2013 by Kogan Page), his next book is MOTE: The Super Meeting, in which he will unveil a revolutionary approach to running meetings.
