Filosofía | In Norway less than one in four men work as a kindergarten teacher. The young Norwegian men view the profession as feminine, and don’t relate to being “caring”, which is the most common trait in the job descriptions. Oslo-based agency Tante Randi has made an effort to recruit young men to the profession, by highlighting traits the guys don’t necessarily connect with kindergarten work, but rather to a popular choice of studies: business and leadership. In these humorous and short spots, a getaway driver finds himself quite diplomatic as his fellow bank robbers start an argument right in the middle of a heist, a nurse puts a stop to a dangerous fight over a scalpel, and an experienced surgeon has a melt down while marking the lines for the incision, where her patient steps his ‘problem solving game’ up. Torstein Bjørklund directed, via production company Willy Nikkers, adding a weird Scandinavian feel to these small ‘slices of life’, making it hard not to fall in love with the cast. |
